High school commitment Jay Stansberry was at the game. He’s seen his stock rise, but he told the ajc.com that he’s set on Troy.

Also, think about this. Troy could have a better record than LSU when the two teams play Nov. 15.

Troy has to win out, but winning at UL-Monroe Nov. 1 will be tough because ULM is usually a very good second half team after the Warhawks go through the motions and blow any chance at a SBC title by losing early on in conference play. Regardless of ULM’s early losses, there’s talent there and they play well at home, especially in the second half of the year.

LSU has Georgia at home and Alabama at home and could lose both. Georgia’s probably better than LSU and Saban’s going to have an edge on Miles, though home field will factor in that game.

If Troy keeps winning and LSU drops those two, Trojans would be 7-2 and LSU 6-3.

More stuff - recent commitment Shermane Teart could enroll in January, according to his high school coach.

Here’s Troy’s recruiting commitment list again for your viewing pleasures.
