This report on Josh Jarboe may end up being true, but I talked to head coach Larry Blakeney at 2 p.m. and others at Troy about dinnertime, and they still haven’t heard from the NCAA, but aren’t expecting good news. Hopefully this will end up getting sorted out ASAP, and the true test will be to see how bad Jarboe wants it while sitting out a year. He is still able to practice, but is treated as a transfer student-athlete. This is how it’s been all along.
EDIT - now got the OK to use this quote from Troy SID Ricky Hazel. “We have not heard from the NCAA, but do not expect a positive response.”
