Florida 21, Troy 7. UF About to score again, 1 yard away
Special teams is horrible. Defense is horrible. Offense is average, but they aren’t taking any shots downfield. I don’t know if that falls on the playcalling or the quarterback.
On punt coverage, it’s not all Vera’s fault. Sure he’s not getting it off at warp speed, but as soon as he gets the snap, there’s 8 guys in blue jerseys in his face. The coverage teams have been awful - one full blocked punt, another that was tipped.
They would be better off just having Omar throw it as far as he can on third down and have it intercepted at this point.
But man, UF can stretch that field. Nothing has been up the middle. Sweeps, crossing patterns, you name it and it’s working for the Gators.
