Announcement coming at 2 p.m.

Was told that the “official” announcment on Troy’s game with LSU this weekend would come at 2 p.m. Troy and LSU would send out joint announcements, supposedly.
The student newspaper of LSU, the Daily Reveille, has an unsourced report that the game is off. We’re not allowed to use anonymous sources unless it’s big-time major, such as a coach leaving or coming in. The only time I’ve used it was when I got the story of Tony Franklin coming, but that was way back in 2005.
That’s the same vibe I’m getting. The good news? I booked a hotel at the Baton Rouge Marriott Nov. 14-16 for a much cheaper rate than on a normal game weekend. The bad news? The people at the Courtyard on Siegen Lane better give me my money back for this weekend.
More good news? We’ll still chat Thursday night at 8 p.m.
