The largest living museum in the state of Alabama is the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Located on 67 acres, the botanical Museum is open to the public 365 days a year and is covered in a diverse landscape of flowers, foliage, plants and trees. The Museum strives to promote knowledge and appreciation of plants and the environment to all its visitors. The Museum also offers educational workshops throughout the year such as Earth Day in the Garden — the largest Earth Day festival in the state of Alabama.
