Visit the Ave Maria Grotto, known throughout the world as a “Jerusalem in Miniature.” Beautiful landscape provides a setting for 125 miniature reproductions of some of the most well known historic buildings and shrines in the world. Famous buildings in Jerusalem and the Holy Land, Roman landmarks like the Colosseum, and famous Spanish Missions of the American Southwest are some of the replicated architecture you will see. Each of the concrete-and-stone works of art were created by Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk of St. Bernard Abbey. The entire collection represents a lifetime of work. Picnic grounds, snacks and a gift shop are available at the Grotto.
