935 First Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31901 706.653.7993 www.rivercenter.org “Stunning,” is a word commonly used to describe the Columbus RiverCenter for Performing Arts. This 2,400,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art venue combines materials such as brick, ironwork, glass and steel in an effort to visually bridge the past with the present. Located in the heart of historic Columbus, the Center includes the 2,000-seat Bill Heard Theatre, home of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. The Bill Heard Theatre has also hosted acts such as Broadway Shows, the Moscow Boys Choir and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The second-largest performance venue at the RiverCenter is the 450-seat Legacy Hall, which has seen performers such as violinist Robert McDuffie and organist Olivier Latry. There is also a 150-seat black-box Studio Theatre that serves as a performance space for the Columbus State University Schwab School of Music.
