Each September, the community of Plains, Georgia celebrates their most productive crop, the peanut, at the two-day Peanut Festival. The festival kicks off with a 1-mile fun run and 5K race, followed by a parade. Throughout the day visitors will enjoy live entertainment, agricultural-education exhibits, great food and Southern Hospitality.
