Learn about the childhood, personal life and administration of former U.S. President, Jimmy Carter, at the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum. The Library is open for research and contains material written by or about the Carter family and other key figures to the Carter presidency. Those who wish to do research in the Museum must go through a series of procedures including an interview with a Carter Library staff member. The Museum is open freely to the public and includes photographs and historical documents and memorabilia significant to the presidency of Jimmy Carter. There is also a replica of the Oval Office, and gifts that the Caters received during the presidency are on display. In the Museum’s gift shop, visitors can purchase one of the many books written by the Carters.
