Thousands of formations make this “big cave” one of the most concentrated collections in America. More than 2,000 years ago, Native American Indians used the cave as a burial ground. Today DeSoto Caverns is a “show cave” where visitors have the opportunity to explore the Caverns for themselves and learn about its rich and long history. Outside the Caverns are more than 20 fun-filled attractions that the whole family will enjoy. Attempt to stay dry in the Water Dodge Labyrinth. Pan for Gemstones like rubies, onyx and pyrite. Take the Cave Wall Climb challenge — can you make it 250-feet? Protect your stronghold and conquer the enemy as groups take sides in the all-out, Native Americans vs. the Spanish Settlers water-balloon battle! Camping is also available at the Park.
