Take me out to the ballgame! Take me out to the crowd! The famous seventh-inning-stretch tune was written in 1908 and is commonly thought to be the third-most-often-played song in the United States. The statistic is not surprising. After all, in this region alone one can travel a short distance and see a number of professional baseball games. For a major-league experience, head to Atlanta’s Turner Field where you can see the Atlanta Braves. While you are at the stadium, join in on the Tomahawk Chop, have a pizza delivered to your seat, and visit Monument Grove and Scouts Alley. You can also tour the Ivan Allen Jr. Braves Museum & Hall of Fame, which houses more than 600 Braves artifacts and photographs that highlight the history of the team that began in 1871.
