Explore the Lookout Mountain Parkway, which spans three states – Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Along the Parkway, one can observe beautiful verdure and foliage, camp, hike, picnic or take a scenic drive. Highlights include DeSoto State Park where visitors will find multiple waterfalls, impressive scenery, campgrounds, cabins, and motels as well as 12 miles of hiking trails. Nature lovers will also enjoy Little River Canyon, which has spectacular scenic-overlook views, waterfalls and hiking. Designated sections of the Little River Canyon are reserved for specific recreational entertainment, like the “Backcountry” section, that is reserved for ATV riders, horseback riders, hikers, 4-wheel-drive vehicles and primitive campers. Also along the Lookout Mountain Parkway is The Alabama Fan Club and Museum, which pays tribute to the band, Alabama. DeSoto Park, Little River Canyon and The Alabama Fan Club and Museum are all located in Fort Payne.
