Antique lovers will enjoy a tour through the Bellingrath Home. The 10,500-square-foot home was built in 1935 by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath, and overlooks the Fowl River. Designed by the prominent Mobile architect, George B. Rogers, the home features all of its original furnishings. Fine porcelain and crystal, French and Georgian silver, American and English-style furniture, represent a fragment of the styles and varieties of antiques that were collected by Mrs. Bellingrath for more than 35 years. Between March and November, visitors can also cruise down the Fowl River on the Southern Belle River Cruiser. The cruise provides a unique glimpse into the wildlife and beauty that surrounds the property.
