Miss Georgia Pageant Coming to Columbus

Forty-one of Georgia’s most beautiful and brightest will soon coverge on the Valley for the 2007 Miss Georgia Pageant.

Contestants are scheduled to begin arriving in Columbus Saturday, June 23rd.

Preliminary Competition is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 27th and run through Friday, June 29th.  The competition finals will be held Saturday, June 30th.  The competition is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm ET each night in the Bill Heard Theater at the Columbus RiverCenter.

Last year, Miss Valdosta, Amanda Kozak, took home the Miss Georgia crown.  She went on to finish Second Runner-up at the Miss America Pageant.

Competition phases: Private Interview, Swimwear, Casual Wear, Evening Wear and Talent.  Contestants will also have an on-stage interview.

How are Contestants selected: Each contestant had to win a local competition for the opportunity to represent her city, university or region at the Miss Georgia Competition.  The winner of the Miss Georgia 2007 title will represent the state at the Miss America Competition.
