Contestants work with a former Miss Georgia and wrap up interviews.

Tuesday brought the final session of interviews. It also meant a full day of rehearsing and photo sessions. During this week, the contestants are working with Miss Georgia 1998 April Brinson Slaughenhoup. Mrs. Slaughenhoup is emceeing this year’s Miss Georgia Pageant.

Several contestants expressed that advice from state and national titleholders is invaluable. They said that during interviews with WRBL, which you can find on this site. Now, they can put that advice to the test. Starting Wednesday, the groups will rotate, competing in evening gown, swimsuit, and talent. On Saturday, the Top Ten will be announced and they will again compete, including an on stage interview.

But it’s not all butterflies in the stomach. Wednesday also brings a chance for the young ladies to see their family and friends during visitation, which is held after the preliminary.
