A chance to be heard for contestants.

The ladies spent Sunday hitting the stage and the recording studio to have their voice heard.

The contestants have officially taken the stage at the RiverCenter. The 41 ladies are divided into three competition groups: Alpha, Gamma, and Mu. On Sunday afternoon, they rehearsed their talent on the stage where the new Miss Georgia will be crowned. This gave them a chance to scope out the size and technical offerings of the RiverCenter. The groups rotated their rehearsal times, giving them a chance to go down Broadway to the Loft Recording Studio.

The loft is a state of the art recording studio in what’s known as Uptown Columbus. Each contestant got a chance to go into the audio booth and record their voiceover for the swimsuit competition. In their scripts, each young lady described her interests and what sets her apart from the other contestants. These audio clips will play during the swimsuit competition, when each contestant gets to take the stage. The judges will score each contestant’s physical fitness and presence. This score will count for 15% of the overall score.

On Sunday evening, all contestants met to rehearse the production numbers. Check back tomorrow for more 2007 Miss Georgia news! Interviews begin Monday.
