Tide players let feelings be known after game

It was a long walk from the sideline to the locker room for the Alabama Crimson Tide following Saturday’s 17-12 loss at Mississippi State.  The frustration level after falling to the Bulldogs for a second straight year — without crossing the goal line — didn’t subside in that distance. In fact, things reached a boiling point.

Tiffin provides Tide offense

Leigh Tiffin did his job Saturday. The sophomore kicker scored all of Alabama’s points with four field goals on kicks of 39, 29, 51 and 50 yards.  The 51-yarder wasn’t only his longest for Alabama, it was his first college attempt over 50 yards.

Saban prepares team for big game against MSU

Alabama plays in Starkville, Miss., for the 11:30 a.m. kickoff. It will be the fourth Lincoln Financial SEC Game of the Week for both the Tide and the Bulldogs this season.  Last season’s game was also a morning start. The result didn’t just wreck Alabama’s day, it wrecked its season.  The Crimson Tide lost to State, then LSU and Auburn to close the regular season.

Johnson had productive night against LSU

Alabama free safety Rashad Johnson had more “production points” against LSU than any Crimson Tide defensive player has accumulated in any game this season, coach Nick Saban said Monday.

Auburn turns attention to Crimson Tide

Auburn’s players and coaches will have plenty of time to think about last Saturday’s 45-20 loss at Georgia.  The Tigers have two weeks of practice before their next game, the Nov. 24 Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.  But head coach Tommy Tuberville vows the Tigers will spend that time looking forward, not backward.

Defense has rare meltdown with UGA
