Capps attemps to fill void on offensive line

A year ago, Chris Capps all but became the poster boy for what was wrong with Alabama.  The right tackle had started every game in his junior year on a line that grew more shaky as the year went on. He was often matched up against the opponent’s best rush end or blitzing linebacker.

Big play turns Tide

He couldn’t take a sack.  John Parker Wilson knew that. Alabama’s junior quarterback knew his team was out of timeouts as it lined up for its third-and-goal play from the Mississippi State 2-yard line with 21 seconds left in the first half.

Tuberville’s future impacts five assistants

November 2008 will mark the 10th anniversary of Tuberville and his assistants’ arrival at Auburn. That will mean a considerable payoff: all six will be fully vested in the state of Alabama’s retirement system, guaranteeing annual payments from their 60th birthdays until their deaths.  Of course, to collect the cash - around $3,000 per month for each assistant - they’ll have to stay employed by the state of Alabama. Practically speaking, that means staying at Auburn.

Tigers turn focus toward Tide

Judging from conversations on Internet message boards, radio talk shows and anywhere else Auburn fans talk Auburn football, AU fans haven’t had an easy time putting last Saturday’s loss to Georgia behind them.  That’s much less a problem for Auburn’s players.
