Originally from Daytona Beach, Fla., Joe is a 1992 graduate of Auburn University and has worked in the newspaper industry in various roles since 1985.

Joe is a former sportswriter and sports editor for the Opelika-Auburn News before taking the duties of editorial page editor in 2004.

His interests include football, NASCAR, video games, newspapers, and paying off his debts.

Favorite movies include Forrest Gump, The Godfather, When Harry Met Sally, Airplane! and the Star Wars saga.
