Time lost, but they were good times
August 01, 2008
Two hours spent at Nationwide RV in Grain Valley, Mo., passed pretty quickly as our hot water heater hose was repaired, our door lock replaced, and some cams were installed on the sway bar.
On that last part, I really have no clue what that means other than the husband will now cease and desist the complaining. Please!
While the shop guys worked, and I understand the owner of this huge lot is also a shop guy himself, anyway, while they were working, we ate their cookies and drank their Cokes. (Thank God we’re back in Coke country!) I learned Willem has one son out in Montana and that Richard takes lots of medications, which he carries around in a plastic bag.
We checked out several live Web cams from Sturgis ... just google those words and there’s a variety to choose from. Things are pretty slow up there right now, so I don’t feel like I am missing anything. I am relaxed and into the adventure that is the journey.
Funny being back up here. When I worked at the Blue Springs Examiner, I covered the town of Grain Valley. I remember how nice and friendly the folks are. I remember how much I loved the summers. I also remember wanting to get back South.
OK, posting a pix of the guys who did the work, and we are soon back on the road again, as Willie would say.
Sturgis: Still a whole buncha miles ....
