Week 4 is Here!

It’s hard to believe 3 weeks have come and gone so fast. What’s really amazing is how far we have all come and changed in this short amount of time. It’s great to read everyone’s progress. I agree with Keith, I am doing things now, especially on the elliptical, that I could not even come close to doing 3 weeks ago. On Tuesday I burned 850 calories in 1 hour. When we started I could not go 10 minutes. Yesterdays elliptical workout got rid of another 675 calories in 45 minutes up 3 levels higher than last week. When we started I could only do 2 push ups. Now I can complete 36 and still finish strong on every other station as well. Way to go Keith on the big bench press. I know you are thrilled. Good luck in Florida, I am sure you will do great. I had a similar issue at Alabama Adventure last week. Diane and I took our grandson Kyler with Brooks and his daughter out for a fun day in the park and at the pool. We packed all of our healthy meals only to be turned away at the gate. They will not let you bring anything in. So for the first time since we started I had to break down and eat fast food. I put it off as long as I could but Kyler was wearing me out, so I got myself a plain hot dog. I felt guilty the entire afternoon. No big deal though, I survived and still lost weight this week. I wanted to tell Lori congratulations on the Diet DP’s. I know that was a tough one to put down. The only thing other than water for the past 3 weeks has been a glass of Splenda sweet tea with supper in the evening. If you like tea, this helped me. Hey Todd. I totally understand where you are coming from. I had such a huge loss the first week, then 4 pounds last week and 3 pounds this week. My 3 week total is 27 lbs, but I still got disappointed when I hit the scales. Rob has really been pushing me hard. I have exercised every day except Sunday since we started. I have gotten all of my water in (150 oz + daily), had great cardio sessions and not blown my diet at all. I have just hit a little wall that is all. I am getting compliments all of the time on my total body transformation. I have found another notch in my belt that I never used before. Rob and I are changing things up a bit this week in order to get jump started again. I am still way ahead of my 5 lb per week goal. I realize some people want to play things close to the vest and not reveal or blog anything. I disagree with this. I think it is great to see what kind of progress no matter how little everyone is doing. It is encouraging to realize you are not alone. None of us got like this overnight or over a long weekend. We all are working hard and it’s great to share our high’s and low’s. It’s not like there is any big prize at the end. It’s great just to see all of the effort everyone is putting in. I am certain we were; and all are, sick and tired of being sick and tired. Congratulations to everyone on the daily changes they are making! As I have said before, more than just the 10 of us will see benefits from this program. Sharing helps us all! Good luck to everyone over the holiday weekend. God bless our troops and all of you.
