Week 4

Hey B’ham,

Well it’s week 4 and still going strong or stronger.  John and Courtney at Fitness together have been awesome!  While Wendi and Paige at Healthy Connections have been equal in doing an incredible job with the food.  It still amazes me how the exercises that we are doing, work you out so hard.  Things like one leg squats, against the work out ball, while holding a medicine ball over your head.  Let me be the first to say, “Not easy.” Case in point is that it shouldn’t be.  Friday we turned up the workouts by adding more weight to all of the circuits.  On note, I’m still a little sore but, it is the good kind.  I do have the need to tell anyone who is reading this, if your in any position that you know that you should stop eating junk food and get off the couch, go one day at a time.  Never let anyone tell you that it is easy, because frankly it is not.  That is what make it so much more fulfilling.  At first you notice little things, such as sleeping better or energy in the morning after you wake up.  Then, where I am now, you start to notice inches.  Your pants get loose, belts need another hole in the smaller direction, friends, family and colleagues start to ask what have you been doing.  Here now, is where your decisions are made.  This is a change in lifestyle, not diet or exercise.  You have to want it.  When you do make that choice, I am here to say, it is MORE than worth the price you pay.  Instead of loathing a 5:45am workout or the 7pm, after a long day at the office, I crave the hard work.  Because I know what will come from what I am putting into this change… Stay tuned.
