Hello to Some Old Friends

Karl Benton

Hey Everyone! This is the second attempt in posting this, it’s a good thing I printed a copy off. I can’t tell you how many times I type on of these only to have them disappear when I hit the submit button. I would post more if this were not an issue. I hope you all had a great weekend! This one was a little tougher due to so many pas t holidays which involved much Bar B-Q and 2 races on Sunday. This day has always literally been a “Pig Fest”. I want to give a shout out to Heather, way to go on the control, I know how tempting this was. I do not think I could have done this if I had to smell the aroma’s all day. Diane, my wife, has always said “Whenever you smell Bar B-Q, Bacon or Popcorn you want some”, We avoided the traditional cookout and grilled a piece of grouper on a cedar plank. It was awesome! Congratulations to Dennis on the dreaded “Lawn Mower Hill Workout”. I feel your appreciation for all of the exercises we complete, especially when you see it transform into tasks that no longer kill you to complete. Hey and way to go to Lori! I am excited for your great changes. There is definitely a huge moment of satisfaction when someone, who may or may not know what we are all doing, tells you that you look good. I have been putting off trying on any of my smaller sizes because I did not want to be disappointed.I call these my old friends. I just have not seen them or worn them in a while. I worked up the courage after weighing this morning and I have said goodbye to 2 sizes since we started a month ago. I am down to 270 lbs. I also had become comfortable in my fat clothes and did not feel like even buying or wearing anything else. It was great to get into these clothes!! It’s like having a new wardrobe without buying anything. I want to say hey to Beth, what a great job you are doing! Being a mom of 3, especially in the summer and staying focused the the way you are is truly a great accomplishment. Way to Go Girl! Last but not least I need to say way to go Keith. You are the master of the bench press and the elliptical. I really enjoy the elliptical better than the treadmill. You definitely get a better workout and burn more calories quicker. I burned 900 calories in 50 minutes on level 4 on Tuesday. I am shooting for 1000 calories this afternoon in one hour. I am increasing up a level each week. Let’s get together one day Keith and work out. The changes so far have been incredible! 8 more weeks to go. Keep up the good work everyone! Diane started FT Greystone this week. She will be working out 5 days a week with me. This is great. Thanks to Rob, Bob, Shannon & Dewayne. You guys are very special people. The atmosphere and comradere we all share is wonderful.  I need to tell Dale & Tommy hello and keep up the good work over in the ATL. Thanks to Michael, Mona, Peggy & Wanda for their friendship and support. Thanks to Jill for all of the emails. Thank you especially Keith Capps for believing in me. Have a great weekend everyone!
