Credit Where Credit is Due

Lori White

I have spent most of my blog time writing about the workouts.  I don’t feel as if I have given Healthy Connections the credit that they deserve.  The reason I have been able to devote so much effort to my exercise is that I haven’t had to spend one minute thinking about what I am going to eat.  This is the first time I have ever participated in any sort of organized diet plan.  I have been on countless diets of which most where not healthy by any stretch of the imagination.  This plan is so much different than anything I have tried on my own.  The meals are wonderful.  I have a tip for anyone interested in trying this plan.  Don’t be discouraged if the food seems a little bland in the beginning.  This is not their fault.  We have become so accustomed to having our food loaded with salt, sugar, and fat that it takes some time to get adjusted.  I was amazed at how much better the food tasted in the 2nd 5-week rotation.  Being on this plan makes you feel good from the inside out.  You know that you are giving your body the nutrition it needs.  I am so glad that I had the opportunity to experience what good nutrition and exercise together can do for my body.
