A Fun Way To Change Things Up

Christian Crocker - Keith's Trainer

No one likes the same ‘ol same ‘ol.  From time to time, something has to change, or things get boring.  Your exercise routine is no different.

Many times, it the little changes in a routine that help to jump-start a change, and help to break a plateau.  So here are some suggestions:

1.  Instead of always doing long-distance cardio efforts, try sprints.  Jog on the treadmill as fast as you can for 2 minutes.  Pedal the bike as fast as you can for a couple of minutes.  See if you can’t break that dad-nab elliptical in a two-minute fury!
2.  Mix up your lifting routine with plyometrics.  If you are unsure about what these are, talk to your trainer.  It is a fun and interactive way to change things up, and make working out a little more enjoyable.
3.  Try a totally different twist on exercise.  Take up swimming or tennis.  Find another physical activity that you can enjoy doing on a regular basis that doesn’t feel so much like “work.”

Guys, there are a million ways to break a routine.  Talk with your trainer about breaking to mold.  Exercise can be fun!
