A Bit of Research

Yesterday was AWSOME! Everyone of you guys looked amazing! I can’t believe we could lose over 300 lbs in just 10 weeks! JOB WELL DONE!
I wanted to share a bit of Research on my part, being a Registered Nurse I want to not only teach health but be healthy! Fitness Together we all know is fantastic for our health (blood pressure, cholesterol, reduces risk of cancer ect...) but did you know with Healthy Connections you are eating the most healthy way possible.
Reading recent research I have found states that eating a Low-carb, high -protein diet can speed weight loss and maintain lean body mass, but can also increase the risk of heart disease by promoting whole-body inflammation and reducing levels of HDL cholesterol (that’s the good cholesterol). That is why using Healthy Connections you are eating a lower Carbohydrate diet, but you are eating the healthiest proteins avaliable (fish, grilled chicken, turkey) and you have the perfect balance of carbs/protiens. I have to say, I need protein to keep me going through the day, and I find that if I eat too many carbs I feel sleepy/lazy!
