5 Weeks down…7 to go

Keith Waterhouse

Can you believe it?  Almost half way done and I have not missed a work out.  That is amazing.  Rick, you crack me up.  I think your wife has sub contracted with my 15 yr old daughter who is determined to see her dad have a bowflex body at 41.  Without the bowflex of course.

I also have tweaked the diet and jumpkicked the cardio.  I have increased my protein, water (my eyeballs are floating) and left the peanutbutter and string cheese in the bag.  I am sure the water has made a difference.  I imagine it flushing the fat out of my body.  I know that is kind of cheesey but hey whatever works.  The cardio and workout Monday was grueling.  We really stepped it up.  Back on my way. I have seen a dramatic difference in a week in my clothes.

When entering a program there are certanties.  You will struggle and succeed.  You will hit plateaus and push through.  Just remeber perfection is not attainable.  However if you strive for perfection you will end up pretty dang good.  Think about your cardio, strength, flexibility and all of the positive things that are happening.  In the next seven weeks we ALL will hit new milestones and will be so much better off than when we started.  I have dieted in the past and lost weight.  What excites me is that I can go up stairs without being winded.  I am more flexible.  I am stronger.  Christian Chrocker, the man, the myth, the legend AKA my FT Mtn Brook trainer made a comment that made me smile this week.  He said “Keith, you are officially an athlete again.” In only five weeks.

It is so true that this did not happen overnight and will not be fixed overnight.  Push hard this week to the halfway point.  Rededicate yourselves.
