The Auburn women’s basketball team held its first official practice of the season Saturday, practicing for two hours at the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.

With the official start of practice coming up this weekend, the Auburn women’s basketball team has been selected in the preseason Top 25 by another national publication.

Fresh off an appearance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament, the Auburn women’s basketball team is already racking up preseason honors for 2008-09 with top-25 rankings in two national publications.

The Auburn women’s basketball team will appear on television four times during the 2008-09 season as part of the Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Television Package, the league announced Thursday.
