LAWRENCE, Kan. — Auburn thought it had taken the lead with just under six minutes left, but an apparent goal by Caitlin King was negated by an offsides call and Kansas responded with a goal after Auburn was down a player due to cards at the 85:12 mark as Auburn fell at No. 25 Kansas, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.

The Auburn volleyball team fell to 0-3 Saturday as it dropped matches to Mercer (3-1) and New Orleans (3-0) on the final day of the War Eagle Invitational.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri’s Kari Adams scored her first goal of the season off of a corner midway through the second half and Auburn was unable to answer, falling, 1-0, on Friday night at Missouri’s Audrey J. Walton Complex.

Samford hit a blazing .326, including a near-perfect third set, to hand Auburn a 3-0 (21-25, 22-25, 16-25) loss in its season opener at the War Eagle Invitational.

The Auburn volleyball team opens its 2008 season this weekend as the Tigers host the War Eagle Invitational in the Student Activities Center.
