Auburn golfers Jay Moseley and Glenn Northcutt were named to the GCAA/PING Division I All-Southeast Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Moseley earned first-team All-SEC honors this season with a team best 71.83 stroke average and three top ten finishes and 18 rounds under par, second most in school history. The Bainbridge, Ga., native helped guide the Tigers to their best record since 2004-05. Moseley finished the season with the fifth lowest single-season stroke average in school history.
Northcutt, who earned GCAA/PING Division I All-Southeast Region honors last season, was second only to Moseley in 2007-08 stroke average with a 72.67. The Dothan native is currently tied for third in the Auburn books with a 72.81 career stroke average.
The PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked nationally in the top 75 according to the Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included their regions top 15 are added to their All-Region team.
Members of the PING All-Region teams are automatically eligible for PING All-American honors.
