Following the completion of the U.S. Women’s Open second round Saturday morning, Auburn rising sophomore Cydney Clanton and former Tiger Nicole Hage were officially eliminated from contention.
Clanton, who completed her round Friday, finished two strokes off the cutline at 6-over for the tournament. She shot 77 in the first round and 75 Friday.
Hage was forced to play the final five holes of her round Saturday after rain shortened the second round. She finished at 12-over after shooting 79 in both rounds.
Angela Park was the leader at 6-under par after the second round was completed Saturday morning.
