AU is bringing in a touted five-man class of offensive linemen in this year’s recruiting class. But the Tigers always want more.

Sunday, they took a step in that direction when Sardis, Miss., offensive tackle Jermarcus Hardrick verbally committed to AU.

Hardrick, rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, did not have any other formal scholarship offers, but was being recruited by several schools, including Ole Miss and Alabama.

But he has closed his recruitment and plans to sign with AU in February.

“I just think Auburn is the place for me,” Hardrick told Auburnsports.com. “I think I’m done.”
