Cassie is studying Kinesiology at Georgia Southern University. In her spare time, she works to raise awareness of the prevention of obesity. Cassie says coming from a family in which obesity is prevalent has taught her the importance and value of being healthy. She feels that helping others is the heart of the Miss America Organization.

We just want you to know that we are pulling for you in every way. God has given you the ability to sing, talk and put on the natural charm. You are a natural person and you are beautiful inside and out. I hope that not only the judges see that but everyone else will also. I am trying to find out if it is going to be televised.
