As a follow-up to last night’s post about State Sen. Lowell Barron’s run-in with law enforcement, the Associated Press clears up our question about why Barron doesn’t appear to be planning to fight the reckless driving charge in court:

Andalusia Police Chief Wilbur Williams says Barron was driving close to 100 mph, and there are motorists who witnessed his driving.

Hmm ... interesting! One wonders what sort of eyewitness testimony those motorists could provide.

Maybe we’ll get lucky, and we won’t have to wonder after Sept. 16.
